Carl Linich: GEORGIAN FOLK MUSIC: I began studying Georgian folk music in 1990 when I joined an American choir called the Kartuli Ensemble. In 1994 I started a trio called Kavkasia with my friends Alan Gasser & Stuart Gelzer. We have recorded 3 CDs to date (see our web site: www.kavkasia.org ). Small), Polly & Her Pals (Cliff Sterrett), Krazy Kat (George Herriman), The Upside-Downs (Gustave Verbeek), and many more... I'm also a comic artist myself: I make surrealist cartoon drawings, and also transform real objects into 3D cartoonified thangs (especially furniture & clothing). Commissions are welcome!
